Dermal fillers are injectable treatments used to restore volume, smooth wrinkles, and enhance facial contours. The procedure is minimally invasive, with little to no downtime, and results can last from several months to well over a year, depending on the type of filler used. During your dermal filler consultation, Dr. Bonnie will evaluate your facial structure, skin condition, and aesthetic goals. During the session, she will discuss your concerns and desired results, the best type of filler for your needs, the cost, and maintenance recommendations.
During your dermal filler appointment, Dr. Bonnie will begin by examining your facial symmetry, then take photos and create a personalized treatment plan. If needed, she will cleanse the injection area and apply numbing cream. Dr. Bonnie will then inject the filler using a fine needle or cannula, shaping and massaging the area for even distribution. You’ll see instant volume, though mild swelling, redness, or bruising may occur.
Immediately following your injection appointment, Dr. Bonnie will provide aftercare instructions, such as avoiding strenuous activity, excessive heat and pressure on the treated area for 24–48 hours. By 7-14 days, the filler integrates with your skin, and swelling subsides, revealing the true result. If you’re prepping for an event, it’s best to get fillers at least 2 weeks in advance to allow full healing. Results will generally last up to 18 months, but could vary based on lifestyle.
